چکیده
In this paper, a novel mean-value exergy-based modeling framework for internal combustion engines is developed. The characterization of irreversibilities, thermal exchange between the in-cylinder mixture and cylinder wall, non-stoichiometric allows comprehensive description availability transfer destruction phenomena in engine. model applicable to operating both steady-state over sequence points can be used characterize whole engine region, allowing create static maps describing exergetic behavior as function speed load. application proposed strategy shown turbocharged diesel Ultimately, maps, while providing insightful information about inefficiencies field engine, are enabling step development control strategies aiming at minimizing overall operational losses ground vehicles.

Transient combustion control of internal combustion engines
This thesis addresses the problem of combustion control for automotive engines. A method is proposed to complement existing controllers, which use lookup tables based on steady-state operation. During transients, the new control method adjusts fast control variables (ignition or injection time) to compensate for deviations in the cylinder initial conditions from their optimal values due to the ...

Ethanol Internal Combustion Engines HIGHLIGHTS PROCESS AND TECHNOLOGY STATUS – The use of biofuels (e.g. bio-ethanol and biodiesel) in the transport sector can save significant amounts of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Internal combustion engines (ICEs) can run on bio-ethanol manufactured from biomass or waste through biochemical processes. Agricultural feedstock such as sugar...

The cylinder working fluid mean temperature, rate of heat fluxes to combustion chamber and temperature distribution on combustion chamber surface will be calculated in this research. By simulating thermodynamic cycle of engine, temperature distribution of combustion chamber will be calculated by the Crank-Nicolson method. An implicit finite difference method was used in this code. Special treat...
